We implement holistic support programs for children who are unable to envision a future due to complex family circumstances, and educational programs in Africa to prevent early pregnancies and childbirth.

We also value co-creating support with local communities. In addition to working with local partner organizations, we focus on strengthening their capacity so they can independently deliver support in the future.

Toward a state where children can choose their own path through economic empowerment and counseling support

To solve the challenges faced by children in Africa, we have developed the "PLAS Method" — a dual approach that combines livelihood improvement and counseling-based support. This method is implemented as a program in partnership with local organizations.
By creating such a system, we extend our support to the "last one mile"—reaching areas and individuals often left out by public institutions and international aid organizations.

Supporting children left behind in Africa — PLAS’s commitment

Due to complex social and family circumstances, many children living in poverty in Africa struggle to stay in school. While many begin primary education, a significant number drop out for various reasons. Even fewer are able to advance to secondary education.
At the same time, career education in schools is limited, and parents often lack their understanding of the importance of education and career development, which makes it difficult to guide children effectively.
As shown in the diagram to the right, it is extremely difficult for children to escape a state of "being unable to choose their own path in life" through their own efforts alone.

ー Stabilize Household finances to Ensure Access to Education for Children


Due to poverty, some children are unable to attend school and struggle with daily food insecurity. We support economically vulnerable single mothers / fathers in starting small businesses by covering initial start-up costs and offering job training. We continue to provide follow-up support through ongoing advice and learning opportunities, helping them achieve independence.

Counseling & Consultation Support
ー Resolve Anxieties About Parent-Child Relationships and Their Future, Creating a Safe and Supportive Environment for Children

Our support begins by training local counselors.
These counselors visit households, providing children with career development guidance, and offering counseling for parents on topics such as child development, education pathways, and household budgeting. We also hold workshops and events where youth can hear directly from professionals about various careers.
